Parts of Accra to experience 22-day ‘dumsor’ effective June 28

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has announced power interruption in parts of Accra for 22-days beginning Monday, June 28  to July 19, 2021.

This is to facilitate the work of contractors as part of projects to improve power supply reliability and system voltages.

“In this regard, load to the Trasacco Bulk Supply Point (BSP) will be managed to enable the construction of towers at the Volta, Accra East, and Achimota substations and to complete the stringing and commissioning of a new double-circuit 161 kV Volta-Achimota transmission line,” a statement by the state power distributor said.

The power interruption scheduled for peak load hours between the hours of 6.00pm and 12midnight will see an upgrade in the Volta-Achimota-Mallam transmission lines.
